Network Diagnostics and More
IPv4 and IPv6 Readiness limitationsThe check can demonstrate an observed browser route but cannot prove the complete network configuration.

A protocol may be available but not selected for a particular request, while VPNs, proxies, privacy relays, DNS and browser routing can change what is observed. “Not observed” does not prove that IPv6 is unavailable throughout the device or network.

Important: Do not rely on this result alone for purchasing, configuration, security, safety, compliance, contractual or fault-diagnosis decisions. Results can be incomplete, delayed, misleading or wrong. Verify important findings with the relevant provider, manufacturer documentation and an appropriate independent test or qualified professional.

IPv4 and IPv6 readiness

Check which public Internet protocols this browser can currently demonstrate.

Protocol check

The IPv4 request uses an IPv4-only endpoint. IPv6 is reported only when the dual-stack endpoint actually observes an IPv6 address.

A browser cannot force every operating-system route decision. “Not observed” therefore means this check did not see IPv6, not that the device or provider definitely lacks IPv6. Requests to the public address service reveal the requesting public address to that service.

Advanced IPv6 diagnostics

Review a public service's dual-stack DNS and HTTPS publishing, with explicit manual checks for behaviour browsers cannot measure reliably.
